Temporal Lift

Improves forehead and eye area wrinkles aesthetically, makes the eye area look more open and lively.

Temporal Lift

As we age, the production of collagen and elastin structures, which provide tension and flexibility to the skin, decreases. This causes the skin to lose its elasticity, which makes it look youthful. Under the influence of the loss of elasticity and gravity, the skin begins to sag and deform, showing signs of aging. This deformation causes discomfort for many patients, especially women, from an aesthetic point of view.

Patients who complain of deformity around the eyes and temples, as these areas are most affected by loss of elasticity, often prefer temporal lift surgery. Temple lift surgery, which takes about 1.5 - 2 hours, improves wrinkles on the forehead and around the eyes from an aesthetic point of view and makes the eye area look more open and vibrant.

Temporal lift surgery can be preferred not only by patients who are dissatisfied with the signs of aging but also by patients who have a tired appearance due to deep-set eyes, eyebrows, and temples. As a result of the surgery, all patients, regardless of age, have a more vibrant and youthful appearance, while problems such as crow's feet, low eyebrows, and wrinkles on the forehead and surrounding areas are improved.

How is temporal lift surgery performed?

The temporal lift surgery, performed under general anesthesia in 1.5 - 2 hours, is one of the surgeries with the highest satisfaction rate among our patients with the recovery time and the achieved result. Prior to the surgery, routine medical tests are performed on our patients. The patient, who has no health obstacles to surgery, is ready after discussions and examinations with Dr. Ahmet Dilber.

During the surgery, 2 incisions are made in the skin where the temples meet the hairline, and the area is lifted. Any excess skin will be trimmed and removed from the area. At the end of the procedure, the patient will have a youthful and radiant appearance with a lifted brow line.

Day 1: Three hours after the temporal lift surgery, the patient can eat and stand up. The patient is kept under observation in the hospital for one night. The next day, she/he is discharged. The patient should keep her/his head upright and sleep on her/his back for 1-3 days.

Day 5: The patient, whose examinations are performed by Dr. Ahmet Dilber, can return home at the end of the fifth day, whether he/she lives in the city or abroad. Since the sutures used in the surgery are absorbable, they do not need to be removed. (The sutures dissolve in 5-21 days.) Heavy activities and sports should be avoided for the first week, and the area should be protected from impact.

Day 14: The average recovery time for temporal lift surgery is 2 weeks. On the 14th day after surgery, the area is mostly healed.

Month 1: It is very important for the recovery process that the patient apply the recommended creams regularly after returning home. The patient should protect the area from sun exposure for at least 3 months. Monthly check-ups of our patients will continue face-to-face or through images sent on WhatsApp.

The stitches placed after the temporal lift surgery dissolve within 5-21 days without needing any external intervention. The stitches are hidden under the scalp. Therefore, no scars are seen on the skin surface.
