Neck Lift
Neck lift is a surgical procedure that removes sagging skin and excess fat to restore a smoother and more youthful neck contour.

The neck area is one of the areas where the loss of elasticity and signs of aging are most common. Decreased collagen production with advancing age and exposure to gravity, as well as external factors such as not protecting the area from the sun, smoking, and wearing clothes that squeeze the neck area too tightly, can also cause deformation. In addition, the neck area, which is often neglected compared to the facial area, can also be affected by the preferred positions for sleeping, reading, and computer and phone use.
The appearance of the neck, which is such a delicate and deformable area, can cause many patients discomfort over time. In cases where non-surgical and minimal procedures are ineffective, neck lift surgery can be considered a permanent solution. A neck lift tightens the sagging area and provides a youthful and vibrant appearance. Today, patients can return to their daily lives an average of 10 days after neck lift surgery.
Dr. Ahmet Dilber determines the most suitable method for the patient before the neck lift surgery, for which there are different techniques and procedures. As a result of the examinations and tests performed the day before the surgery, the patient, who has no health problems that prevent the surgery, is ready for the surgery.
Neck lift surgery, which is performed under general anesthesia through incisions under the earlobe, in front of the ear, behind the ear, under the scalp, or under the chin. If there is excess fat in this area, it is removed, and the skin is reshaped to keep it firm. If necessary, excess skin and muscle tissue may also be removed. Micro incisions are made in areas that are not visible to minimize the possibility of scarring. After the surgery, the patient is taken to his/her room, and the post-operative check-up is performed by Dr. Ahmet Dilber.

Day 1: The patient is observed in the hospital for one night after the neck lift surgery. The next day, the patient can return to his/her hotel or home. Contact with water in the area should be avoided for the first four days.

Day 5: The patient, whose controls were performed by Dr. Ahmet Dilber, can return home at the end of the fifth day, whether he/she lives in the city or abroad. Since the sutures used in the surgery are absorbable, they do not need to be removed. (The sutures dissolve in 5-21 days.) Heavy activities and sports should be avoided for the first week, and the area should be protected from impact.

Days 7-14: Edema and swelling begin to recede quickly. It is possible to return to daily exercises that are not strenuous. The area should be protected from sunlight, whether in summer or winter.

Month 1: It is very important for the recovery process that the patient apply the recommended creams regularly after returning home. The patient should continue to protect the area from sun exposure and stay away from solariums, saunas, and hot baths for at least 2 months. Our patient's monthly check-ups will continue during the recovery process, either in person or through the images sent through WhatsApp at specific times.
