Face Lift
With facelift, skin tissue is strengthened, sagging tissues and excess skin tissues are removed from the area.

Face sagging can be caused by the deformation of elastin and collagen structures in the skin over time and the effects of gravity. Due to the slowing of the skin's renewal process, sagging skin and deep wrinkles can no longer be regenerated by the skin. The surgical procedure often preferred by patients bothered by these facial deformities is the esthetic facelift.
During facelift surgery, the skin tissue is strengthened, and sagging and excess skin tissue are removed. Facelift surgery, which includes various methods and techniques, is planned for each patient. Factors such as our patient's skin condition and facial anatomical structure are considered when selecting the surgical technique.
The patient, who has undergone a routine medical examination and found no health impediments to surgery, is ready for facelift surgery. Before surgery, Dr. Ahmet Dilber prepares special surgical plans and drawings for our patients. The average application time for facelift surgery performed under general anesthesia is 2.5 - 4 hours.
The aim of facelift surgery, for which there are various surgical techniques, is to make the skin look dynamic, young, and lively. The lift is also supported by removing excess skin and sagging tissue. The incisions made during excess tissue removal and facelifts are generally located on the scalp and behind the ear. This reduces the possibility of a visible scar on the skin's surface. The incisions opened at the end of the surgery are closed using absorbable sutures. Then the patient is taken to his/her room to rest. A special corset is placed around the patient's face, which must be worn for one day.

Day 1: After the facelift surgery, the patient is observed in the hospital for one night. The next day, she/he can go home or to her/his hotel to rest. The special facial corset that the patient should wear after the surgery can be removed the day after.

Day 5: The patient, whose controls were performed by Dr. Ahmet Dilber, can go home at the end of the fifth day. Since the sutures used in the surgery are absorbable, they do not need to be removed. (The sutures dissolve in 5-21 days.) Heavy activities and sports should be avoided for the first week, and the area should be protected from impact.

Day 14: The average recovery time for facelift surgery is 2 weeks. By the fourteenth day after surgery, the area is mostly healed. The patient can return to work after 10-14 days.

Month 1: It is very important for the healing process that the patient apply the recommended creams regularly after returning home. The patient should protect the area from contact with sunlight for at least 3 months. Monthly follow-ups with patients continue face-to-face or through the images sent via WhatsApp. The face begins to reach its natural and final state after 1 month.
