Forehead Reduction
Forehead narrowing is performed by bringing the hairline left behind, which causes the opening in the open forehead area, to the front part.
The forehead region is one area that significantly affects the facial organs' symmetry and the esthetic appearance of the other facial organs. Since the forehead is wider than it should be, the hairline is higher and gives the face an asymmetrical appearance; discomfort can be caused in people with this problem. Especially in our female patients, the width of the forehead, which gives the face a more masculine appearance, may be due to genetic factors or hair loss. The surgery that provides a permanent solution for our patients with forehead width problems is forehead narrowing surgery, which is often preferred today.
Our patients who are candidates for forehead reduction surgery are interviewed preoperatively by Dr Ahmet Dilber. During this pre-interview, as with all other surgeries, markings and drawings are made to guide the surgery and determine the most appropriate forehead width for the patient. After the preliminary consultation and checks, the patient is ready for surgery. During the forehead reduction surgery, performed under general anesthesia, the forehead line is brought closer to the facial area using incisions, the excess skin in this area is removed, and the surgery is completed by suturing. At the end of the surgery, a symmetrical and harmonious appearance with the organs on the face is achieved as planned.
Step 1: The patient who wants to get detailed information about the forehead reduction surgery and make an appointment starts a conversation with the team of Dr Ahmet Dilber through our communication channels. During this online conversation, we ask the patient to provide images of the right and left profiles and anterior angles of the region where the surgery is desired. Dr Ahmet Dilber reviews the patient's suitability for forehead reduction surgery, and in special cases, a video call is made.
Step 2: Our patient found a suitable candidate for forehead reduction surgery through online interviews and can schedule an appointment for an examination or surgery. Our patients living abroad or out of the city should be in Istanbul one day before the surgery. On the first day, personal consultation with Dr Ahmet Dilber will occur at our clinic in Ataköy. The day before the surgery, the hospital is visited for various health tests.
Step 3: As a result of the tests performed, the surgery process can begin for our patient, who has no obstacle to undergo forehead reduction surgery. Before and after the surgery, Dr Ahmet Dilber visits the patient in his/her room. Our patient is kept in the hospital for 1 night and under observation. The next day he/she can go to his/her hotel or home.
Step 4: After the surgery, the controls of our patient are performed by Dr Ahmet Dilber. If it is deemed necessary, a cream recommendation will be made. On the fifth day after the surgery, after the last checks, our patient can leave Istanbul if he/she is coming from the city or abroad.
Step 5: If our patient lives in Istanbul, personally if he/she lives in the city or abroad, regular monthly check-ups are performed by sending pictures via WhatsApp. Dr Ahmet Dilber checks the patient's progress and can recommend medications if necessary.
