Ear Aesthetics
In ear aesthetics, it is basically aimed to improve the deformities in the ear structure.
Ear aesthetics are surgical operations performed to correct shape and structural defects in the ear. The most known and preferred ear aesthetic is the protruding ear operation. The protruding ear is called the forward or side bending of the ear due to the looseness of the cartilage in the ear region or the inadequacy of the folded tissue. Although they do not negatively affect a person's health, protruding ears can disturb patients due to their aesthetic appearance.
The ear is an organ whose development is completed by the age of 7. For this reason, if the protruding ear problem can be detected early, its progression can be stopped with applications such as the use of hair bands. However, applications do not constitute a definitive solution. Ear aesthetics is the most precise and practical solution for protruding ear problems. With this operation, the aesthetic appearance of patients is improved, and it greatly contributes to the person's self-confidence.
Ear aesthetic surgery, which lasts an average of 40-90 minutes and can be performed under local anesthesia, has evolved into a comfortable and risk-free procedure for our patients with evolving techniques. The patient, who goes under routine health checks before the operation, is visited by Dr. Ahmet Dilber, and then the process can begin.
Protruding ear cosmetic surgery is mainly aimed at improving the structure of the ear. The surgery is performed through small incisions behind the ear that leave almost no scars. Dr. Ahmet Dilber determines the method to be used during the preliminary consultation with the patient, but the most commonly performed technique is to reshape the excess cartilage tissue by rasping. Excess cartilage can be removed and reshaped with sutures to give the ear its ideal appearance.
After giving the ear its ideal appearance, special bands are placed on the area, and the patient is taken to his/her room to rest. After protruding ear surgery, there is no hearing problem in the ear, and the recovery period of the operation area is very short. With protruding ear aesthetics, patients will have an ideal size and natural ear appearance.
Day 1: The patient, whose final examinations are performed after the surgery, can rest at the hotel or at home. The dressings can be removed 2 to 4 days after the operation, and the patient can shower. The ear area should be protected from impacts and external factors.
Day 5: The patient, whose examinations are carried out by Dr. Ahmet Dilber, can return home at the end of the fifth day. Since the sutures placed in the operation are absorbable, they do not need to be removed. (The stitches will dissolve in 5-21 days.)
Day 14: The recovery process in ear aesthetics is 2 weeks on average. In this process, swelling and edema go down. It is recommended to sleep with a band that covers the ears at night for 6-8 weeks.
Month 1: It is very important for the healing process that the recommended creams are used regularly after the patient's return home. Monthly follow-ups with patients continue either face-to-face or via WhatsApp.
